Volunteers should usually support the student to contact UCAS themselves, rather than calling on the student’s behalf.

Use UCAS as the first source of truth for Clearing dates, UCAS Hub, eligibility and adding Clearing choices.
Universities and colleges offering places through Clearing are listed through UCAS course search and may also appear to eligible students through UCAS Hub / Clearing Plus.
Students should also check individual university websites and contact universities directly where appropriate, as course availability can change quickly on Results Day.
Not all universities or courses will have Clearing places available.
General Clearing advice
External advice pages can be helpful, but UCAS should be used for official deadlines and application rules.
For Medicine and Dentistry applicants
Medicine and Dentistry Clearing places are very limited and highly competitive. Students should check official university websites, UCAS and school staff before making decisions.
Places at medical school overseas
Students may ask about studying Medicine or Dentistry overseas. Volunteers should not advise students to pursue overseas study without careful research.
Students should check:

whether the qualification is recognised;

costs and funding;
-
accommodation;
-
visa requirements;
-
language requirements;
-
clinical placements;
-
whether they can practise in the UK afterwards.
For Law applicants
